School boards and public education leaders agree: taking money away from public schools and giving it to millionaires to send their kids to private schools is a horrible idea.

I am profoundly grateful for the extraordinary courage of our American troops and allies as they stormed the beaches on June 6, 1944, turning the tide of WWII and securing freedom for millions of people here at home and abroad. - RC

Today, Gov. Cooper announced the NC S.A.F.E. (Secure All Firearms Effectively) initiative. Safe storage is an essential part of responsible gun ownership, and this initiative will encourage North Carolinians to safely secure their firearms.

This GOP plan doesn’t increase opportunity. They just want billions of $ going to private schools at the expense of public education so a millionaire gets thousands of $ to keep a kid already in a private academy while veteran teachers get a $250 raise. Shameful. - RC

The life of loyal sports fans can be cruel. lost 4 one goal games that felt nothing like a sweep. Ran into Robo-Goalie, bad bounces, injuries and a hot team. But with Coach & Front Office, strong core, cap space & Caniacs, mourning ends. Onward & Upward!

This Republican Senate budget is a historic disaster for public education. It fails to fund basic needs and will force school leaders to cut everything from bus routes to courses even though North Carolina can afford to do much more. 1/

Senate Republicans propose a pitiful 4.5% raise for teachers spread over 2 years while giving tax breaks and private school vouchers to millionaires. Disastrous. My budget proposes a much-needed 18% raise to keep quality teachers in the classroom. - RC

One more thing. ESPN announcers are extraordinarily biased against our . Griping about calls, extolling the talented Jersey and grudgingly acknowledging that “Carolina deserves credit.” Seriously dudes.
