Some good news at the end of what has otherwise been a pretty terrible year. Here’s hoping 2020 will be a better one!

Congratulations to the brilliant Dr Imogen Bell for wearing her PhD graduation robes so cooly on a sweltering 43C day in Melbourne. Imogen is an outstanding scholar who it has been an absolute privilege to supervise. Many more great things to come for sure...

I was going through all awarded ideas grants yesterday and I think could only find maybe less than 5 mental health ones. Due to new combined panels covering all areas, low representation of MH reviewers, combined with no external expert reviewers anymore??

    Odgovor korisnicima

It is a sickening waste that so much time and effort is spent grant applications. UQ estimates that each $1 of grant income costs the University $1.5. So at the level of the University grant success is ONLY about institutional kudos (and very inefficient wealth redistribution) .
