It’s such a great feeling to be in city council with progressive minds that want to push for this kind of initiative. Thank you so much for thinking with me. @J1Ramann @CDRosa @ChiAlderwoman @AldMattMartin @AldermanLaSpata @SigchoFor25 @Andrefor40th @rodriguezfor22

So if I'm calling my alder to get them on board, do I ask them to sponsor? What is the next step?
-
Yes! Im in the process of talking to my colleagues, but it’s nice for them to hear from their neighbors about what they want to see.

Heard this on the Council meeting today. While exciting to see, hard to get too enthused about a new budget item when they are talking $1 bil+ shortfall. Why we need to consider things like this coming out of bloated police budget.

If you need a community member to speak in, I’d be happy to. My loved one had a mental health crisis 2 yrs ago while uninsured & going through the current process is one of the worst things we’ve gone trough as a family. Chicago has a mental health crisis.

Follow up. Our family just had to call 911 again to get my loved one mental health help. The system needs to change. Thank you for fighting for this.
