Lately, a lot of people have asked me why I've been so hard on Andrew Cuomo's response to COVID-19. What about Trump? What about de Blasio? Well, they all failed. But only one is getting credit for success. It's quite confounding. Let's review the facts.

In the New York Times,
@jdavidgoodman ignored the Cuomo hagiography to put together an important timeline of how both Cuomo and de Blasio failed to combat COVID-19. The former head of the CDC says 50-80% of deaths could have been averted https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/08/nyregion/new-york-coronavirus-response-delays.html …Show this thread -
At the Albany Times-Union
@ChrisBragg1 and@a_snabes interviewed experts who noted that Cuomo's failure to more quickly impose social distancing measures led to more death. Let's be accurate. It's not just density. But because NYC has a large minority population, many with jobs the put them in the public and many with no health care, so many may have untreated previous conditions, we are leading the nation.
-
And also the crowed spaces where many people live accinated.
