. This is Rev. Norman Fong. He is an ordained Presbyterian minister, social justice advocate, & Chinatown leader. You’ve previously featured him in several articles. Although he is a spiritual leader, he is NOT a Taoist priest. This is not acceptable. Plz do better
It’s overwhelming and emotional to look back on the history (marked by struggle & controversy) of this project to connect Chinatown to SoMa and beyond. Rose, wherever you are: we did it.
Absolutely a joyous moment to celebrate the first train ride along the Central Subway from Chinatown Rose Pak Station to 4th/ Brannan. Come check out the brand new stations and train ride during the Special Weekend Service every weekend starting today!
“I’m just as curious to try Muni’s long-awaited T-Third rail line extension. Starting Saturday, Nov. 19, limited weekend shuttle service will begin on the #CentralSubway, which terminates (for now) in San Francisco’s Chinatown."
“Every weekend, Raymond Zhang and his family visit #SFChinatown from their home in Bayview, & every weekend the commute is a pain. 'This new transit line will forever change our lives as Bayview residents,' Zhang told a crowd...from the lobby of Muni’s Chinatown-Rose Pak Station"
Tonight we celebrate — thank you San Francisco!
I’m humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue this critically important work on the school board. I remain committed to listening to and centering our students, families, and educators.
Yesterday morning, a speeding driver hit & killed Huansu He, seriously injuring another pedestrian who were crossing the street in the crosswalk at 24th & Santiago.
Rose Pak Station is a reminder and a lesson for the next generation of Chinatown leaders: Rose Pak fiercely led and united our community to fight for Chinatown's prosperity so we must carry on the torch, stand united, protect Chinatown, and ensure resources for its better future.
Hotel workers like Camucha have a message for San Francisco voters:
Vote YES on Prop E...
and NO on Prop D.
Prop E is the ONLY measure on your ballot that will actually build affordable housing faster - so more of us can afford to live in this city! @sfhomes4workers
, the largest Chinese Newspaper and Chinese-language news network in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Chinese-American son of immigrants, and a longtime Chinese community organizer, this means a lot to me.
Please help us get Prop H across the finish line with a donation today! This is a crucial ballot measure that will double voter participation in electing the Mayor and other key local leaders. Vote Yes on H, and donate here: http://upthevotesf.com/donate
Thank you Sing Tao Daily for endorsing Yes on E! Prop E is crucial to making sure we can build enough affordable housing for seniors, families, and working people.
