We saw a few finches this morning at Bramfield but not the one we hoped to see. Also saw a lovely Mistle Thrush and a very flighty Goldcrest

Beautiful Sunday morning at Amwell Nature Reserve with Egyptian Geese showing their true colours, the friendly robin and Reed Buntings from the James Hide which sadly has other uses in the evening

I’ve reported this to the team at Stanborough as well as the amount of plastic rubbish in the river.

Sad to see a Moorhen dangling upside down from a branch by its foot in the river by Stanborough’s South Lake caught up in discarded fishing line.

On the last day of 2019 we finally spotted the Bank Vole at the James Hide. He was very nimble so not easy to get a photo but very happy to have seen this little creature

First visit to Rainham Marshes. Bad light weather wise but these two brightened up the day. Also saw Marsh Harriers and a pod of Porpoise in the Thames.
