So despite his regime being condemned by the Church several times, it was actually not anti-Christian because Mussolini reconciled with the Church after he lost power and became a German puppet? The snake's remorse over his own poison doesn't take away its harm

Research Mussolini in purgatory. He suffered through purgatory until the prayers of a Saint allowed him to enter the kingdom of God.The image of Mussolini, who was allowed to appear by the power of the Holy spirit said that he was in purgatory because he waited too long to repent

But that doesn't make his previous actions any more excusable, it just means he later regretted them, giving weight to the fact some of them were directly against the liberty of the Church or those she stood for

I'm not talking about his previous actions, I've mixed feelings towards him. But I don't hate the guy.

Same, I just don't like people saying that he was a saint or that fascism is some sort of panacea that you as a Catholic must endorse, since I do not do so

Well technically he is a Saint, but he definitely didn't act like one in the past. Most of the time that is, he did change quite rapidly before his death.
