I worked Toys R Us on Black Friday once. I do not look back on it fondly.
The first day I worked in a Best Buy was a Black Friday. It was orderly, but I had to run back and forth a lot. I bought new shoes for the job, but they dug into my heels. By the end of the day, my socks were quite bloody! Oddly, I look back fondly on the interesting day.

I worked at CompUSA back in late 90s, I don't remember Black Friday being as big a thing as the day after Christmas
