I notice in pretty much every #Fallout4 video I see that companions are in their default gear. It IS possible to give them armor.

@RonnieFilyaw I remember when I first found doggy armor for dogs and was like "why... won't... Dogmeat... wear... this?!"
@dantheshive when i first put a piece of armor on a female companion, it took off all her other clothes and i turned red as a tomato
