Does anyone remember how, back on old broadcast TV, text on the screen would make the rest of the video funky and even make a buzzing sound? Anyone have one of those amazing youtube videos that explain that?

I had a tv where you could flip open a panel and fine tune each channel like a radio dial. I managed to pick up CB chatter while goofing with the thing one day.

I almost hit the ceiling it surprised me so badly. I also had this tiiiny monochrome one. I remember renting Earthworm Jim and finally got to the bungee jump boss stage and had to go and hook that one back up because I HAD to see it in color.
