Update on my diet, because you wonderful people care about how I'm doing: It's still going great! Some bumps in the road, but I always have a cumulative calorie count that tells me how I'm doing. It only takes a few days to fix a big booboo, so it never feels like I've failed

Sure it seems simple, and maybe not worth even having a "recipe" for, but it can be tough to know where to start on cooking for yourself when you have to do it multiple times a day. I'm a spreadsheet kind of guy, so I've crunched a lot of numbers on maximum fullness per calorie

Out of curiosity what app are you using, been trying to get my diet to stick for a couple of weeks. Also have you ever tried a calorie split diet? Worked really well for me in the past but it takes a lot of planning.

Not sure what a calorie split diet is, and I'm not using an app! I have a dry-erase board on my fridge, and I write everything down. It's important for me to see it every time I'm near the fridge instead of it hiding on my phone in my pocket

Maybe its called Calorie shift or Calorie cycling. Let say your goal is 2000 Calories a day, You might plan to eat 2500 Calories on one day and then 1750 the next two days, so the 7 day average is still 2000/day. Supposedly helps stops plateauing and keeps your metabolism strong
