I'm still dieting successfully, which no longer feels like a diet. It feels like my life. The most amazing feeling is that, when I have a big, delicious, high calorie meal or dessert, I legitimately feel the old guilt momentarily before I realize I have fully accounted for it

Yeah, the whole analogy is kinda flipped, but you're taking a loan from your goals, and you have to pay them back

I think this is the right attitude to have; the problem with dieting generally is that it dictates 'you can't have thing', which just makes you want thing. If you say 'I can have thing if I REALLY want, but I don't want it that bad yet,' it becomes easier, a lifestyle.
