So I've legitimately been on a proper diet - one of the longer ones I've stuck with. I write down all my calories and stay under a certain number. The one big thing I've learned is that I'll never be less hungry, but the hunger pangs no longer bother me. They feel like progress.

We all need something big to get us started. I strongly recommend a sugar-free replacement sweet to help. I really enjoy sugar-free chocolate snack packs. I had a huge sugar addiction until I started eating only those for dessert.

I started keto last year and lost 120lbs. Writing down what you eat really does help. Sometimes you don't realize just how much you're shoving down.

Yeah, if i had one big suggestion, it'd just be "write it all down." Don't even diet if you don't want to, but write it down. Simple awareness of the number can be powerful.
