Other than the obvious "We only care about mobile users and smart TVs" mentality every major tech company has now, I feel like this directly plays to corporate desire to chisel away at your choices to get the maximum number of people to engage with the minimum range of things.
Sorry, I usually don't have opinions! But I spend too much time on my computer for it to be turned into a phone when I already have a phone!
Twitter literally did exactly this with their new UI update. Are these companies seriously too cheap to have a PC UI vs a tablet or phone UI?
Because a tiny minority of phones using the non-mobile site because they're using some odd browser that they can't account for is far more valuable to them than most PC users.
