Twitter literally did exactly this with their new UI update. Are these companies seriously too cheap to have a PC UI vs a tablet or phone UI?
I think it's a bit more sinister than that. They just want it to fit the form factor of a phone just in case the phone is using the browser instead of the app, and just in case the phone doesn't auto-direct to the mobile version of the site for whatever reason.
This is the real point right here. I understand needing to design for as many platforms as possible but it gets tiresome.
You hate this now. This is taking over all software UI. We have phone and emailing systems now that are juat sticking to smart phone style menus for everything doesnt matter where you access it
I'd honestly accept this terrible layout if they would allow me to put subscriptions in folders in lieu of "Here's everything because why not."
