Spidey is a Sony franchise, and Disney did NOTHING for them in the production. Imagine making a song that has the word "Destiny" in it and Bungie flew in and demanded rights to it. It's at that level.
I think the thing that confuses most people is that Disney went in with the 50/50 offer (since they were only getting 5/95) and expected some back and forth for a new agreement, but Sony just flat out said, "How about 0/100" and walked away.
