cant remember what i had but yeah, pretty bad. upside was liquid/jello diet and then no anything before made me almost pass out when they tried to IV me the morning of since I have shitty veins. first 3 attempts i was fine but the 4th hooooo boy.
It's the dehydration! They make you go without water for several hours before, and hydration is what makes your veins pop out. I'm already notoriously vein-hiding. Thankfully they found one in my hand and got it in one try
yeah, last year when i was in for dying, in the first 2 days of me there i had 6 different spots for IV and they gave up and had to put a picc line in. Super great thing but hard to shower with. the sensation of it poking your heart from the inside is so weird but i want it again
