To game developers out there who work a lot with 2D animations: Do you have any tips for dealing with things like changing one little thing on a sprite that results in the arduous task of editing all the frames, resizing them, exporting back into the project, etc etc?

I can tell you that I don’t. I find it extremely frustrating. HOWEVER Lately I haven’t been letting it get to me, as I’ve been studying Street Fighter III animation, and have been noticing a lot of errors that slipped by. So if the issue is small, people won’t notice it (I think)

Yeah, I'm willing to accept that there simply is no answer, and sometimes things just take a long time

Just make the sprite be editable sections instead of one piece?pic.twitter.com/xgy6kCdwfU

I considered it, but my character will be turning and stuff, and those usually end up looking like marionettes. That's not a bad thing, but I'm not sure it's the style I want to go for at the moment. (But that could change)

        1. Define the concept well first to not redo work 2. Use software that is designed for frame animations, so going over frames/resizing/exporting is fast 3. If you're doing any repetitive automatable work ask your coder for a tool

I *am* the coder. And what software would that be to use for frame animations?
