One of the women, a prominent attorney, wasn’t in a relationship with Schneiderman at all. She says he propositioned her, began calling her a “slut” and a “whore,” and, when she withdrew, struck her without warning.pic.twitter.com/E7yqewy0S4
Two of the women considered their injuries severe enough that they sought medical attention.pic.twitter.com/NjteuoPL4m
Several women in this story expressed fear, for their physical safety or due to what they believed was Eric Schneiderman’s power and ability to retaliate against them and their families. Speaking was an immense, emotionally draining commitment.pic.twitter.com/mzdYr6It0c
Some of the women also said that they hesitated to report their allegations, or that friends advised them to remain silent, due to Schneiderman’s status as an influential and well-regarded figure in democratic politics.pic.twitter.com/D8GzvNdtk2
If the President doesn't have to resign because of accusations (& proven payoffs), why should the NYAG?
Because it’s the right thing to do-in both cases.
Bullshit. They aren’t playing by the rules, so we can’t keep letting them oust Dems over the same stuff they are doing. Once proven, then we’ll talk. Until then, no more.
Um, did you read the article? It’s not a game. This is a violent and dangerous man, if the allegations are true and they have all the hallmarks of truth.
If he's violent & dangerous, then they should press charges. These accusations aren't so old they can't. Why are they telling their story to the New Yorker & not the NYPD? Why do they think they'll be believed by telling their story to the media but not the police?
If it were me &I knew it happened, I understand the fear & keeping quiet until I had courage to speak. Would I want to press charges, go through court & pay lawyer fees for him to go to jail, or would I feel justice via telling my story and call it good/save my $ ? I don’t know.
Would love to know things like, were the women paid by Trump to come forward, Were the threatened to come forward..Given Trump's hatred of NY AG aren't these questions pertinent? Why NOW when Trump is in SERIOUS legal trouble in NY?
Way to defend abuse Cliff!
What drove them to come forward NOW after years right when Trump is in serious trouble?
Read the entire article. These are feminists and progressive women, not Drumpf supporters. It's awful.
Don’t worry, I think there is another Progressive Attorney in the State of New York who will take over the position... and continue with the same cases.
