While ostensibly this is a technical/consular issue, ending visa requirement at this moment in time would be a huge domestic-political gift that Biden/Blinken would be handing Israel's most-far-right government ever. Hope they're keeping that in mind.

Ben-Gvir goes to attack site, hears "This is on your watch". Ben-Gvir has no solution, of course, so he'll probably need to redirect anger at Netanyahu, blame him for not doing enough. Netanyahu will take credit for being a "moderating influence". That's their division of labor.

Might be dating myself, but Likud's liberals were once folks like Dan Meridor, Miki Eitan, Roni Milo, Meir Sheetrit. Now, apparently, Yuli Edelstein (who vowed to defy the High Court), Gila Gamliel, Avi Dichter, Ofir Akunis are as "liberal" as Likud gets.
An injustice not only to but to all those who believe in "equal measures of freedom, dignity" (per the Biden Admin aspiration) for Israelis & Palestinians.

Here's how I see it: Survey shows that over 3/4 of all Americans know that millions of Jews were murdered in the Holocaust. I'd say that's fairly impressive. But, then again, I don't have to fundraise based on these findings.
