@RonWyden. Oregonians have mostly grown up seeing few black faces among us, and have been guilty of ignorance of our own history, and willfully blind to our white privilege. -

. In 1978 my teacher had to explain to curious 9year olds that my skin color was called olive,that it was common in people from...California.Oregonians are in my experience,genuinely good people.

Moved from CA to Oregon at 9 years old in 1978.The tiny town had Bible study,quilting circles,pet shows,& scouting which warmly welcomed me.Thanks to Mr&Mrs Whitney of Sweet Home, not sorry I got your chair stuck in the mud,to Ms.Doris Diamitt of Salem for being my good friend.
