We don't know who is truly voting with the ballot, and we know, for a fact, that we have given ballots to illegals, dead people and minors. THESE ARE THE FACTS! VOTER FRAUD! NOT A SECURE SYSTEM!

Those are not facts. We have vote by mail in FL & ballots are only sent to current registrants. It’s updated yearly. Signatures across enevelop seal are matched to signatures on file. It’s a great method of voting & of increasing voter turnout.

Great, Florida is doing it right; wish I could say the same for Oregon. We do know for a fact that we have these voter fraud problems. Perhaps, you should speak to what you know as fact.

Voting by mail is so easy! It literally takes less than 30 minutes in total! Free postage would be appreciated, however. Especially for those for whom it is a burden.

Free postage this year in Washington
-
That's awesome!

I am an Oregonian and this is an excellent form of voting! No standing in lines, no pressure to complete ballots on a voting machine, time to review the Voter’s Pamphlet and complete your ballot at home with no pressure.

Can we have free postage so there are zero excuses not to vote? Asking for the elderly etc.

Great report on NBC news last night about Oregon's vote by mail. Every state should adopt it!

Also, for those saying voter fraud is happening because of vote by mail: not true. My husband had to verify his ballot a few years ago because his signature has changed over time. That means they are checking ballots and doing quality control/auditing.

I’ve been voting in Oregon since before vote by mail. I love voting by mail. We have lots of time to review candidates and measures, then complete our ballot at home instead of having to get to a polling location during specific hours. Drop it in the mail, done!

My mother in law passed away four years ago. I have used her ballot for 4 years now. How safe is that.
-
Are you admitting to voter fraud? You know that’s a felony right?
-
That’s the system in place . So it’s not safe. It convenient but not safe.
-
Illegals vote in Oregon so what’s the problem.
-
I get a ballot mailed to my home every year for someone who moved out of state. I mailed it back to the county, explaining the situation, and they did nothing, so I could vote twice, because I know exactly what the signature looks like. It’s a good system, but is not foolproof

Can you imagine if the POTUS election came down to Oregon and the votes was within 500. What a mess it would be. Too easy for fraud. How do you dispute your ballot not being counted?
-
Is that the reason for hurrying up and making it nationwide? Let’s work on fixing the obvious weaknesses it has in states that have tried it, before Senator Wyden tries to sell it nationwide. BTW, in which state do you vote, Senator? New York, Oregon, or both?
