Facebook says it's increasing transparency around political ads but @VICE was able to impersonate all 100 senators without Facebook figuring it out. The midterms are one week away & it's clear that companies haven't taken the steps to protect our elections from foreign influence.https://twitter.com/vicenews/status/1057317539385094144 …

Why is anyone shocked, if they lift a finger, it would hurt ad revenue. They are a for-profit company, they will NEVER change unless they are jailed or their advertisers are financially impacted. We do this "I'm shocked" dance every year.. shame on us.

It is also quite clear that the Government has done nothing to protect voting in America. I only pray that we the people are able to change that problem ourselves by voting in droves. VOTE BLUE to end this nightmare!

The reason it's not FB's job is because Wyden introduced CDA Section 230, which gives the tech companies immunity.

It's about time Facebook had some mandated regulatory reform. Enough already. By a new dem congress preferably, cause GOP doesn't give a shit.

VICE is just part of the Communist Propaganda Network anyway, nothing they report on can be trusted. Too many lies and too much biased hatred for our Government.

Can we blame the IRS for IRS scams then? If so then I’m cool with all this. Or is government God?

You still owe taxes even if someone steals money from you. I believe there are rules that allow you to write off theft, but I can’t remember the max.

"Can we blame the IRS for IRS scams then?" If FB scams someone, blame FB. If the IRS scams someone, hold the IRS responsible. How does FB scamming someone allow someone to blame the IRS for a third-party scam? I'm just not following how you're chaining the liability together.
