    For decades, investments in American families have been shortchanged because billionaires aren't paying taxes like nurses and firefighters. It's past time for that to change.

    “It would be a monumental mistake for Congress to pass a bill that really exempts billionaires,” said Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, the Democratic chairman of the Finance Committee. A House tax proposal goes after the merely rich more than the filthy rich.
