3. It's a misrepresentation of fact, i.e. a lie. Conservatives always talk about black murders, like in Chicago, where a breakdown of law enforcment sent murders skyrocketing.

4. But his audience has this fantastic idea that blacks are getting killed en masse BY law enforcement. Which is false. The number of unarmed black men being killed by law enforcement is tiny, compared to the overall problem.

5. So he says "including by law enforcement" and lets his audience go deaf on the "including" part.

6. I'm not here to play savior on this issue or get involved in any way beyond listening at this point. But I will call out lies and misrepresentations of an issue. Beto is yet another Democrat throwing law enforcement under the bus for political points.

7. When I tell people I'm running on basic issues like "I like laws, I like police" I get a chuckle. Who in their right mind would be against these things? And yet here we go. Just being for law and order is now a partisan issue.

8. And I hear it in arguments all the time, generally with aging hippies and college grads with no real life experience. Cops are evil and need to be replaced. These people are today's base of the Democratic Party.

9. I'm not appealing to them. The Democrats can have them. I'm appealing to people who like the liberal order, who like law and order, and don't take it for granted.

10. Working people who deal with crime and grime on a daily basis. It's them we aim to serve.

11. And on the issue of law enforcement, I get a little Alex Jonesy. Part of me really believes the Democrats are pulling out of the public safety business. Why else do they keep hamstringing the police? It's worth quizzing them on this.
