Spending time catching up on the podcast from . Although many people end their show by asking listeners to post thoughts & questions in the comments, she actually follows up in the show notes with the resources she has available to help you answer those ?s

Took a short course on Systems Mapping & learned about Plectica Mapping Software. I have a love-hate relationship w/ the simplicity & diversity of uses. But my ❤ stops every time the server times out while I'm building a project. Looking forward to it becoming more stable.

"Protocol matrix for natural hair care during fieldwork, by curl pattern and field conditions" would make a spectacular piece.

This is a thread for all the little Black girls trying to navigate life with hair society tells you isn't beautiful. Wear your hair how you want. Get it wet, life's more fun underwater. And if you see me in the field with my coils going rogue 8/9

I spy with my little eye something...RED! Playing "I Spy" helps kids learning describing words, which adds to their evergrowing vocabulary. Try it next time you visit the supermarket or the park!

New in , and colleagues calculate return on investment based on RCT results of a structured community health worker program. Medicaid saved $2.47 for each dollar spent on the program in one year.

You can get more hours in the day, but you just end up with fewer days in the week. 💁🏾‍♀️

My kids are in elementary school & often want to know the def & example use of words they hear in conversation. Which is great, except I'm not looking forward to middle school when I'm sure they will ask me to explain present, past, & perfect participles. 😣

I can't help but feel this is exactly what some organizations are trying to prove in their use of real world data. I've heard the weak arguments of "they wouldn't prescribe it if it didn't work". How can we guide orgs to better design their studies?

In Upjohn v. Finch the Court of Appeals upholds enforcement of the 1962 drug effectiveness amendments by ruling that commercial success alone does not constitute substantial evidence of drug safety and efficacy.

The first recognized and recorded clinical trial was by James Lind, a British naval surgeon. He published the results in 1757. Policy change by the British Navy was not effected until 1795. In 200yr, we've reduced the "bench-to-bedside" translation time from 38yr to 17yr.

I participate in a mentoring group for teens at my church and so far that's been the best practice of my interviewing skills for qualitative research of someone's lived experience. "So tell me more about how that made you feel...."🧐

Recently was listening to Fresh Air on NPR & though the topic was legal & outside of my expertise, I found the conversation refreshing. Then I realized it was because the expert never once uttered the words "Well, actually..." or "Look here..."

It's 1 month into 2020, so I probably need this reminder: "This is a risk I can actually take. I give myself permission to do this thing."

Yikes! I wondered about this with cloud collaboration tools. This is a user error though not a Trello insecurity per se. "It’s the latest version of the whole shadow IT problem where people use tools they don’t fully understand how to use securely."
