It's far more likely that people in developing countries will actually strive for increased living standards, & with it all the extra consumption. is a disaster for this planet & I'd reiterate other comments... powerful, influential ppl are cowards for ignoring it

1/2 is a HUGE problem. To suggest otherwise is folly. I'm a fan George but you can't seriously discount the massively negative effects inherent to 8 billion plus ppl. You want mass but population is the single biggest driver of habitat destruction.

The world’s optimum is less than 2 Billion – 5.6 Billion fewer than today and there is an increasing of the entire planet by synthetic chemicals that may be more dangerous to people and wildlife than change.

Reduced consumption by the rich is not nearly enough when carrying capacity is 4 billion max and we are rapidly nearing 8. Highly recommended:

There is one problem here: population x consumption = the problem. The problem is both things compounded. There are too many rich people, and too many poor people, combined, to be compatible with life on Earth and with human dignity.

Immigration ideologues have an insatiable addiction to an unending flow of cheap labour. Unlike the majority of the public, they don't want to see it reduced. After Brexit, immigration is our TOP PRIORITY! Don't drop the ball on this one

16m jobs open to entire world: - Job entrants could come in at little over minimum wage, putting downward pressure on UK pay - no requirement for bosses to advertise locally first - there would be absolutely no limit in numbers That's frankly mad!

"Study hard and get a good job," used to be the formula for a good life. 🤓 Unfortunately for many young people no matter how hard they study they won't ever be able to afford to buy their own home. Reducing immigration would help to ease the housing crisis. Consider it.

'We should return to the former system of training would-be nurses in training hospitals.' Investing in (& retaining) many more British nurses is crucial.

RT if you agree it's time to break the taboo of talking about population growth 👍 Why is speaking about the rate of population growth in the UK a taboo when 30 million UK adults wish to see immigration reduced?! 🤔
