3/3 For those who don't see what the big deal is, imagine always having to correct people, especially in medical settings it's important that personal data is correct. Should I instead say "a member of my household" or "a good friend" for it to not be confusing? What a toothache.

2/3 Of course we can think of it a bit humorously, and as minorities, we are often assumed to be part of the straight "normalized" majority. 1 honest mistake is fine, but 5? I thought and would be a bit more inclusive for people.

1/3 Called the dentist today for my partner and had to explain at least 5 times that no, my partner was not a woman, but a man... The receptionist was blown out of her mind and kept referring to "my wife"😐. I then had to describe the size of a tooth (er..like a..fly?)

Read Latour's (2017) "Down to Earth: Politics in the New Climatic Regime" which provides an interesting provocation through the concept "Terrestrial" (Earthbound) as a new political actor, landing somewhere else than "nature/society", or politically "left/right." 9/.

I often have this exact issue – and do a whole lot of unpaid labor with presentations (30 min lecture = 8h preparation if good quality)... Can’t take it from work hours, so it steals time from my weekends. I wish upfront honorariums were more common, easier to say yes/no then.

Read the informative book "Situating everyday life" by Pink (2012) who argues that we need to account for how practices intersect with other processes and things—seeing the relationship between body, mind, materiality, and sensory environments. 8/.

Such fascinating discussions in our "Caring futures" project – is morality pre-inscribed and are we just declining due to society's influence?

Me: "It's so nice to read a scholarly book before sleep, then I can dream about the theories and epistemologies." My partner: "You woke up screaming during the night, what on earth did you dream about!?" My search history: "Are scallops fish+Callon+ANT" ...-dreams😬

Just finished "digitalSTS: A Field Guide for Science & Technology Studies." Some compelling contributions and fascinating ethnographies (I particularly enjoyed 's study of favelas and technology divides). Wish the book provided more "guidance" though! 7/.

I'm fascinated by entrepreneurship in the car industry, but also how gendered innovation works as a practice and as a structural, material problem. I recommend not seeing the trailer, but just jumping into this to avoid spoilers. Happy watching!

Had my first for students during the today, and I must say it's strange having a hundred blank screen-faces staring back at you, not knowing if anyone is listening or not. And then you start answering yourself to keep it going.🙃

4/5: a) Read an hour a day (for me it's before bedtime), which takes me through 1 book a week. b) Start/join a book club where you can discuss your readings (which helps you understand and remember the content). c) Lend books to your friends, give books as presents.
