Are we campaigning for both then?

I`m pretty sure that the original Greene King XX Mild was replaced by the Hardys & Hansons Mild not long after the brewery in Nottinghamshire closed .
-
I don't think this has - or could have - happened. GK XX has a fan base & it's watched with eagle eyes and won awards.

When I owned
@Dorking_Brewery we won a Gold@SIBA01 national award for our mild. It made no difference we couldn't sell it as pubs wouldn't buy it. Fondness does not equate to sales. -
Other pubs and brewers have a completely different story to tell. Mild is on all the time because it is a top seller. It is not as simple as you say.

We don't want class beers disappearing. Look what happened to Ind Coope Burton Ale (& I've never really felt the new reincarnations quite replicated it)
-
If was a class beer Mart and such beers are never replicated with success. Oh things move on I know, but not always for the better. Innovation will never replace class in the great scheme of things and ICBA was class.

Blimey I’ve never seen it! Often wondered whether a mild would still hit the spot
