  14. OK I was curious abt CI decline rates in RPS vs non-RPS states. EIA has CI data for each state 2005-2016. What I found: ➡️RPS states, annual decline= 1.2%, med= 1.1% ➡️non-RPS states, annual decline= 0.9%, med= 1.0% Effect? Maybe & small

I tried to make these points in my comments in the story, but things always get hung up on the “100-year” flood. It must be maddening for elected officials who need to sell climate change action but can’t link it to attention-focusing events like this.

  16. PS. Climate change is serious & deserving of mitigation and adaptation policies in response. Which ones? Read my books and papers. PPS. I'll get called a denier for expressing these accurate views. It's OK, I'm on the right side of the science and plan to stay there. 🙏

  17. It is easy & often cheered when a leading scientist claims that this or that extreme weather event was caused by climate change. It is also irresponsible when the claim is clearly contradicted by research. Trust is gained by being faithful to evidence.
