"I have never felt, in the course of my life, that I would like to look at people on the basis of, ‘What are they trying to get to?’" — Winthrop Rockefeller responding to a question about how he assesses the "honesty" of people who approach him. We love his answer.

A cup of coffee cost 30 cents in 1953, back when Winthrop Rockefeller first arrived in Arkansas. That's the price of our coffee all week as we celebrate the first year of our Roustabout coffee shop! Stop by during your visit to Petit Jean Mountain Monday through Friday, 8-5.

78 years ago this month, Winthrop Rockefeller became the most senior officer left alive when two kamikaze planes tore through the USS Henrico during the invasion of Okinawa. He had enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army three years prior.
We're proud to be a supporting sponsor of the 's Conway Area Leadership Institute! Three of our colleagues have graduated from past CALI classes, including Austin DuVall, Julia Dossett Morgan, and Tracy Kendrick. Here's Julia speaking to the newest class last week.
