    Rochester Police are proud to have partnered with the City of Rochester and the VA to help a veteran in need on Roslyn Street today. The various agencies worked together to assist in cleaning up the property, which not only assisted the veteran, but the entire neighborhood.

    "I prayed for you to come." Meet Troopers Rodriguez and Curameng, SP Wurtsboro. At a call in Mamakating they found a woman with no food, transportation or phone in -0 temps. They took her for groceries, dog food and a charger and delivered her safely home. Well done Troopers.

    We mourn the loss of Officer Fernando Uriel Arroyos who was killed while off-duty in a senseless act of violence. Officer Arroyos is survived by his parents & girlfriend. God bless his family who lost their loved one, & the men and women of the dept during this difficult time.

    2021 was another difficult year of the pandemic, especially for those struggling with addiction during times of isolation. In 2021, there were 649 reported OD incidents & 130 fatalities. Thank you to the recovery community for not giving up on those struggling with addiction!

    **Genesee Street by Melrose Street Area Alert** An African American male possibly in his 60’s is going door to door trying to scam people for money. He claims to be soliciting money to support the local Boys & Girls Club. Please DO NOT give him money and instead notify the RPD.

    Tonight local area Law Enforcement Agencies teamed up with The People’s Choice restaurant on Brooks Avenue to hand out free Christmas gifts to children. Owner of the restaurant, Evangela Stanley, organized the event. Hats off to a woman who has a heart for her community.
