I have been in the mood to fight, so I'm going to get into more fights this year, but I'm also going to pick my battles, so I'll choose more fights I can't possibly win with a higher likelihood of going down in a blaze of glory.

Here’s the thing: I typically only follow people on here who align w my way of thinking. On the surface, that sounds small-minded. I get it. But read further:

Diverse classics are being discussed and in January did a whole month of episodes about retellings and ALL of the hosts came to the conclusion that we love diverse retellings more than the originals 🤷‍♀️ Here, let me link the episodes because they're fun + recs like whoa

In light of the continuing clusterf*ck in the book world, popping up on your feed to casually mention 1) I'm one of the handful of QWOC editors at a Big 5 2) I'm in a buying mood for more SF/F/H for adult YA & MG 3) My list is majority queer and POC authors. And I'd love more.

I've written lots of books with Asian people on the covers. And guess what? The books are actually about Asian people, too!! Who would have thought.

People have already said this but the BNN covers genuinely reflect publishing’s dedication to falsely *portraying* diversity (because the look of inclusivity sells), without actually having to provide space, resources, or support to POC

One of the most popular misconceptions about black history is that over time, America has gradually become less racist and more tolerant. That is not true. Since y'all want a BHM thread, here's a thread about the evolution of racism in America.

I’ve long wondered about why my family has been so fascinated by the name Harry. So many people in generations of my family have that name, that I want to celebrate a Negro Girl who I believe is responsible for that name being carried forward. 1/?
