    It’s like the lateral indigeneity (sp?) espoused by Seb Malette, which basically goes like this, if Louis Riel is Métis, then all Riels in Quebec must be Métis. If my adopted sister is Indigenous, I hugged her once and now I’m Métis. 🤷🏽

    I'm not misinterpreting anything. I'm drawing out the inferences that are already present in your grammar. The US signed treaties with Indigenous nations, de facto recognizing them as sovereign nations. Sovereign nations do not "own" other sovereign nations. That's racism.

    Don't see a single thing about being Native on your timeline. Mostly just sports crap and racist shit like this: I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you just pretend to be Native to justify your racism, like everyone else going "Native, not offended."
