Story: As you know, there are different roles in square dancing for boys and girls. My primary school class had several more boys than girls. So the teacher used to hand out sashes to boys, to be “honorary girls” for that lesson. Every week, I was so determined to get a sash!

Ha! We had the opposite in ballroom -- more girls than boys -- so because I was tall, I can now only lead. Which I am actually fine with and totally prefer.
