Back in 2003, John Kerry had a meeting with Ralph Nader, in which Nader gave him 20 pages of issues he felt were really important, and told Kerry that if he picked three to adopt in his campaign, he wouldn't run in that election.

And, you know, people love to blame Nader for shit, assuming that those who voted for him would have otherwise voted for Democrats if he hadn't run, but Kerry clearly felt that he did not need those votes to win. You think he would have learned something from that.

He lost in one state, Ohio, where Karl Rove had made sure to put on the ballot an anti-gay proposition. He wanted to make sure all the evangelicals came out to vote and put bush over the top. Ugh. GOP has been terrible for decades.
