Citi estimates that inflows of less than $10bn in 2017 accounted for the cryptocurrency market cap exploding from $20bn to $500bn. Reckons current prices require annual inflows of $25bn into crypto to be sustained.pic.twitter.com/3tN4cR0pXK

Order-of-magnitude (*very* rough) impact-based estimates are in that range for inflows. But they require an estimate of total volume, which is hard to know because of OTC trading and wash trading

10 billion doesn’t seem like much there’s a lot more where that came from. Also they apparently haven’t looked deeply into the token ecosystem if they only see 3 use cases so plenty more upside short & long term for those who can handle the bumps on the way

Wonder what Citi base their estimate on inflow in #Bitcoin?

have a link? - wrong - why would crypto need any inflow to maintain prices? (they dont understand concept of 'finite') -'struggling' = we have to buy btc but want to buy xrp / eth instead - we have been left out - what about us?! 😂😂

Because it doesn't depend on total supply, just on supply and demand...

mostly new bitcoins mined I guess..😳 $25bn inflows from asia in Q1 2018? 😂 Only story in crypto is crazy asian pumped coins being worth billions.. When exchanges start taking new acs again- frenzy could drive scams to $trillions in value within 2-3 months Citi then say BUY!
