Okay, I think I've reached the end of my productivity today. Now I'm just stalling to avoid having to cook #dinnerisonme

The wife was on the work call. Not the cat

Still not entirely sure if there's any point to it, but it's something the like of which I've never attempted before, which is nice

Just read through my short story and it hasn't made me want to retch in horrified embarrassment. Which is good

I let the neighbour's cat in and it immediately went to harass the wife for fuss whilst she was on a work call. My work here is done

I am still in contact with my old writing group, however, and indeed have a manuscript critique meeting tonight thanks to the wonders of modern technology (I am, sadlyish, many miles from them now)

So. The deed is done. I've left my #writing group

Time for a break. See you soon, kids. Play nicely whilst I'm away, hmm?

Well that's my short story done, just a biscuit under 3k words. It's probably a bit rubbish, though. Into the folder it goes, just waiting until I can find anything to do with it. Like edit it. #writing

Back on with my little gay short story, then. Not sure this will ever see the light of day; just want to do it for myself, really #writing

Eep! A deadline has arisen from the depths and I can't face it right now. I'm off to hide behind my #copyediting

Right, that's my mandatory fire safety training done. Now for lunch, and then on with some #editing

Afternoon all. The wife is off work and the small person is off nursery so it feels very much like a Saturday here. Unfortunately, my day job doesn't agree and they're making me do stuff. Damn them! How's you?

Quite to my own shock and surprise, I find I've written nearly 1,000 words of a short story that didn't even exist as a concept two days ago. Just a shame it picked a day where I'm desperate with other jobs, which I'm now neglecting #writing

Phew. One-to-one with my day-job manager completed in four and a half minutes, and did not include the words 'you're fired'. Back to non-day-job #copyediting now

Right, that's a bit of paid employment done. Now to balance this short story I'm trying to carve out of granite against the copyediting that I promised to have done by Thursday

Morning all. Today I have been thwarted by a gift card and have been browbeaten by a short story that refuses to write itself. But I am (potentially) joining a new writers' group, so there's that. How's you?
