I don't think the first choice between "politics back to normal in DC" and "fundamental systematic change" is especially well-formulated.

The real problem is the introduction of DC in the first choice. No one likes DC. The better formulation would be simply between "Restore normalcy" (generally, not just in DC) and "Introduce structural change" or something along those lines.

They want fundamental change from someone who is perceived as moderate and therefore electable ... Honestly, this shows the growing rift in the party, between incremental change and a “radical” shift.
