Will now spend the rest of the day listening to one of my first high school concerts: Van Halen at Reunion Arena on Nov. 18, 1982. Damn. Godspeed, Eddie Van Halen.

  8. I wouldn't say Tennell "worked tirelessly" on getting rid of Shingle Mountain behind Marsha Jackson's Southeast Dallas home. He only visited the monstrosity once stories began appearing in Dec. 2018. But he does send word that a vendor has been found to finally get rid of it.

  17. I thought I’d appreciate not having to park at temple for tonight’s Rosh Hashanah services. I thought I’d like wearing shorts. And having a glass of wine. But I was wrong. “We miss each other,” Rabbi David Stern said during his sermon. And it was beautiful. And unbearably sad.

  19. Several people have asked about tonight's return music. All 3 songs were from the brand-new EP: "We Hope It Finds You Well," a six-song collection of covers. Rare 2020 bright spot. Especially that version of The Association's "Never My Love."
