Even with all of Gaye’s success, he battled depression and substance abuse, so after his last tour, he moved back home with his parents. Unfortunately, he died at the hands of his father who fatally shot him in their home after an argument in 1984. (4 of 4)pic.twitter.com/8JL6pNC9MR

Marvin, Reese Palmer & I attended Cardozo Sr High School and studied music under Mr. Finley. He left CHS to join the service. He and Reese sang with a group called the Rainbows & later went on to sing with Harvey and the Moonglows. He was raised in SW not SE, DC.
