Considering that she had not appointed anyone for 3.5 years creating a huge backlog in the system, she is really the last person who should talk.

agree. JWR refused to appear before Senate to answer questions about legislation, she wouldn't agree to retrial of Assoun, she appointed too few judges, so no surprise she's effectively saying if she were PM she'd refuse to do PM's job on being responsible for judge appointments
-
she is sad and so glad she is out!

Robert Fife continues Attack on PM, ignoring that a former **
#PC** Prime Minister is in Charge of Search Committee for SCC, that process is open, that only 25% of appointees are known to be Libs. RU using JWR to Attack PMJT or is she using U to get Revenge on him? -
It should be obvious now that JWR has an agenda: criticize the LIBs! She tried to further her Agenda to get a Metis Judge on the MB bench by recommending a Judge who was not Charter-friendly for the SCC as CHIEF Justice so pot meet kettle: herself.https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/sources-say-trudeau-rejected-wilson-rayboulds-conservative-pick-for-high-court-507626452.html …

When will you stop interviewing JWR? She's misinformed! If JWR doesn't know the process is not partisan, she wasn't doing her job. If JWR doesn't know the difference between Harper's partisan process & this Gov's choices, she wasn't doing her job.https://twitter.com/ishat_reza/status/1121156658510606336 …

By ignoring Globe's deep investigative report, you aren't doing your job well either Mr Fife! Harper hated the Charter & chose "...judges who would support his crackdown on crime" & he ignored "entire categories of potential candidates"!

PWR is very conservative. So this should nt be a surprise.

I know she is as is her husband and father in law who helped found the Fraser Institute.

JWR reduced to grasping for relevance, I see. And Robert Fife only to happy to provide her a platform, both flailing as their faux scandal fades into obscurity.

Robert. Whether or not
@Puglaas rejects, or does not reject, the point is moot. She has become irrelevant. -
I fear she is going to make her presence known during this whole election.
-
Goid grief, I hope not. She's already done enough damage.
-
I hate nasty elections and this is going to be one.
-
Yep. They'll pull out everything to defeat Trudeau. God help us all. Honestly, I have an EU passport (Ireland), and if Scheer gets in with his Koch $, it's a serious consideration.

I think we've heard enough from Jody Wilson-Raybould.

No, no we haven't.

Ridiculous. Of course the government doesn’t want to appoint judges who would be against their policies! Given several vetted, qualified people, it is common sense to pick the one most closely aligned to your views.
-
An examination of the vetting process would show that of the judges selected only about 25% have a Liberal background. A proper journalistic inquiry would find that it would appear that the vetting is to weed out those with political advancement in mind.
