Feast Day of Bd. Franz Jagerstatter, Austrian peasant, devout Catholic, who was beheaded by the Nazis on August 9, 1943 for refusing to serve in Hitler's army. He believed Nazis were a satanic movement, and taking oath to Hitler would be a mortal sin. bit.ly/2ICqR0j

He had a dream of a shiny train--everyone was clamoring to climb on. The conductor said "This train is bound for hell." He realized it represented the Nazi cause. When you know the destination of such a train, he said, it is your duty to jump off--even at the cost of your life
Heartbreaking the way people were heartlessly tortured and murdered during the holocaust and those murdered today for their faith. Why can't people just respect one another instead of thinking they are superior in their beliefs? God does not want that.
