I’ve been to the Hiroshima museum. There was no reason for either bomb but to show Stalin & Mao what we had. I feel some Japanese officials may have been complicit in striking a deal but I have no proof. Stalin was advancing on JP & they were terrified. Wanted to surrender. 1/
