Year after year, the USCCB's Religious Freedom campaign is severely out of touch. Rarely does it even give lip service to the threats to religious freedom faced by non-Christian faith communities, and the same is true this year.

Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, and others in the US are frequently targeted with violence, sometimes in their houses of worship. As I write in my new book, this is basic and pressing religious freedom issue, and yet it goes unmentioned.

We do our friends of other religions—and our own flock—a disservice when we focus only own 'freedoms' (often at the expense of others.)
