On Feb 2 1945 German Jesuit Fr. Alfred Delp was hanged as an enemy of the Reich. A former student of Karl Rahner, he was permitted to make his final vows in prison. In chains, under constant surveillance, he wrote meditations on Advent and the future of humanity.
