I remember when theologians like Leonardo Boff, Jacques Dupuis, Jon Sobrino, Margaret Farley, Elizabeth Johnson, were reproved, silenced, or harassed for supposedly “scandalizing the faithful.” But apparently if you are an Archbishop they let you do it.
