Today Oct 11 is the 94th birthday of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, who has returned to Vietnam to spend his remaining years. Remembering our first meeting when I was 17, with gratitude for the privilege of editing his essential writings.

One of my favorite spiritual writers. Maybe because October 11 is a special day! This day 39 years ago, my bride, Karen, and I were married at regular 12 Noon Mass as members of Woodstock St. Paul Community, a Jesuit inspired lay Catholic group at Columbia University back then.
