At first, adjusting to new habits--staying 6 ft apart, not shaking hands, working at home--felt like a kind of adventure. But now it sinks in--that we are entering a dark cloud. Between here and a new dawn will be a season of deep trauma and grief. Must be brave and kind.

This is true. There is a real grief stage. We have lost much, and will lose more. Eventually, though, I think we may discover some re-framing. Not "I'm home where I am forced to be against my will." Rather, "I'm home -- where I am safe."
Went to my usual go-to market and entire shelves were bare. No TP, no paper towels, no cleaning products. Signs posted saying "1 per customer" and still, nothing available. The panic-buying is causing more panic-buying.
