Feast of Fra Angelico(d 1455) who was beatified in 1982. Many of his frescos adorn the walls of his Dominican friary near Florence, featuring Dominican saints (dressed identically to the viewers), inviting a similar attitude of devotion.

Thank you for this reminder of Fra Angelico's feast. It's so wonderful to remember his dedication in fresco-ing the walls of his friary. Imagine going to sleep each night within feet of a world-class religious artwork!
